This is my second attempt at a matte painting. There are elements of this that are CG, photo and painted. This is somewhat of a work in progress but I hope you like what you see.

comments are cool!

A list of things I want to change about this one:
Scene lighting is too flat.
many textures look 'soupy'.
sky and mountain integration not realistic.
clouds need to be tuned to bring out form.
no 'payoff' for following river up the mountains.
water is not to scale, surface waves are wrong and it lacks reflections/refraction.
want for horizon line to be 1/3 of shot. Camera reposition needed.

Please let me know what else will help this out.....

After revision I think I got most of the issues.

Very nice! I just think u could do a more reflective water, I dont know, for me it looks kinda 'flat' (Dont get me wrong, it looks really good, just a tip as it in progress yet) , but it looks very beautiful and good composed! Very good work!
