Vue 9.5 render. 1 hour to render at 1900x1400.

I was hoping to create a crisp scene with some vibrant coloration in the trees and a sense of tranquility.

If you like this please fave it!

Comments are also very welcome and help to make me better everyday :)

I agree with priteeboy. Other than that I like the way it looks! The foreground flowers are very nice as well!

Also, I assume you are using the rocky mountain fractal. If so, then I would recommend raising the number of iterations. If it is already high, then a different rock material would help bring out the details. But from this render it looks as though the iterations are set at 5 or 6.

Keep up the good work! I enjoy every render you have! :D

The mountains are actually a standard terrain fractal that I have tilted up. I think the key here will be to add some more bump mapping and color variation. Thx for the comment!

I see, well, you did great with the mountains from just using the terrain fractal! :D

I hope to see more from you!

Looked pretty real from afar. Even up close certain areas still look realistic.

I like the mountains and the sharp change between rock and snow on them, I think the rock needs a bit more "texture" to it though since it looks kinda plain. The mountains should be bigger but further away so they appear more distant with more atmospheric haze in front. They feel really close here, like just beyond the trees :hmm:

However the trees and flowers, well - everything in front looks great and very natural. The atmosphere and lighting is nicely done too

I think I will probably look at changing the scale a bit to give some more haze to the mountains, as well as some greater bump mapping on that terrain.

This is actually an exercise for me in scaling. The whole scene is only about 15 meters x 15 meters and less than 100 million polys. Atmospheres and ecosystems are tricky when you are dealing with such small scenes.

Look for a new version today! :D
